![]() ![]() I think the story is engaging enough to make you enjoy watching it multiple times.Ĭhance of watching it again: There's a chance. Serenity is interesting, but compared to the Firefly series, I've found it lacking. Serenity is a well-made film.Įnjoyment: Average (2 out of 3 points). In itself, it was probably good, but I did not feel that the film is really the continuation of the TV series. I was not entirely satisfied with Serenity (2005). Serenity is an interesting futuristic action / adventure, I think fans of the genre might enjoy it. The actors are great, fit their roles perfectly, as if they were practicing them for years. The characters are okay, we get to know them enough to care about them. The action scenes are interesting, varied, and easy to follow. There are no proper character arcs for the main characters. The consistency is a little strange, I'm not entirely satisfied with it. The story is good, there are a couple of twists. The Serenity movie is about a team of space criminals trying to uncover a government conspiracy. I like the creators enough that I've bought the DVD in a format that I cannot play to support them. I have to admit that I'm positively biased towards the movie. I've seen every episode of the TV series. I've probably seen the trailer before watching the film. I was already a fan of the Firefly series when the movie came out, so I watched it as soon as I was able to. * * * Review (spoiler-free) - Serenity, movie (2005) Serenity, movie for the Firefly series (2005) Spoiler free review - Review with spoilers - Analysis - Uses - Similar stories - Questions - Resources - Buying the product - Comments ![]() This brings me to my final point: if you’re building an engine it’s important to prioritize your actions and make sure they line up with what other people are doing! It can be tempting early on in the game (especially at higher player counts) for everyone to just grab as many different developments as possible, but this often leads to players not having enough cards or VPs left over by the end of the game. It’s definitely worth noting though that developing expensive VP cards early on will probably put you too far ahead of other players, which can be very detrimental if they’re drawing low-end developments and it costs a lot to block them! You might not get the best technology early on, but if you keep focusing on these low-end developments each round they can add up very quickly!Īnother way players can get ahead with this strategy is by using cards like “Habitat” or “+$/+cards”, both of which give you additional actions each turn – thus allowing you an opportunity to build even more! If all goes well these types of cards usually lead to developing expensive VP cards since there are so many actions available during the game. If you can get into this mindset it’s possible for you to complete 15 more developments than most other players!įinally, if none of these strategies sound good so far there’s always the option to just go for VP‘s by themselves! One way some people have won with this strategy is by using all their resources on every turn to buy as many different development cards that cost two or three VPs. Once you reach around 20 victory points, start focusing solely on developing expensive technologies/cards. You focus on getting low development cards like “Mining” and cheap technology cards early in the game, while also only doing one or two of your own tiles each round (instead of three). This is a strategy that I’ve used to win at Terraforming Mars before. When picking what types of developments you want make sure not to pick them based on how far away they are (because other people might beat you there), instead go after those closest to winning as fast as possible! They focus on just one type of development card at a time until they reach the end game – usually either VP’s or technologies/cards depending on their priorities from earlier in the game. This is another common Terraforming Mars strategy that I’ve seen work well for many different players. You’ll have to develop a lot of cards and technology, but this strategy can pay off big time if you’re able to get all your tiles up to six or more levels each! Once you have a solid number of technology cards (around 17), play them out every turn until one of the players reaches 45 victory points – this usually takes about 13-14 rounds depending on how everyone else plays.Īnother way people win at Terraforming Mars is by focusing heavily on terraforming their own tiles as much as possible with development cards like “Terraform”, which gives +$/+additional production. You want to focus on getting cards that help develop new technologies early on, while also making sure not too many negative developments happen before your next turn. This will give you more points than any other strategy and can be done in around 15 or so turns if you prioritize correctly! One way to quickly win at Terraforming Mars is to get all of the technologies developed. I’ve seen some games where players spread themselves thin getting a ton of different things developed but never truly winning because they didn’t stick with one strategy long enough to succeed! Some people love focusing heavily on their cards or technology tree while others think that victory points should be your top priority. There are many different ways to win at Terraforming Mars. However many times that same card is in your deck/hand – its benefits are cumulative! So if I played this card first turn and then later drew this card out of my hand to play again. ![]() ![]() ![]() When you play a Development Card though, it has an immediate effect before disappearing into your discard pile (face-up). They all cost energy to purchase, and you gain energy by placing workers on the card. The Development Cards fall under three categories: Green, Orange, and Blue. Terraforming consists primarily of playing Development Cards from your hand or acquiring them indirectly through other means such as via milestones or by removing heat from oceans/ice caps when they flip over. ![]() I also love to work together on teams so that you can pair a younger child with an older one or with an adult.Īnother adaptation I like to make is to make my own list on the blank one that is easier for kids. Step 4 –The second material is set into place and a screw or bolt completes the assembly.Since track bikes almost always do not include water bottle mounts, and since someone asked, here is a guide to installing them. Step 3– The mandrel disengages from the nut, which has now formed a collar on the blind side of the workpiece. Step 2 –The mandrel on the installation tool attaches to the nut for insertion of the nut into the hole. Step 1–The user drills a hole into the material. ![]() Rivet nut installation is a basically a three-step process. ![]() These are installed using a special tool with a threaded stud (nose) that engages with the internal threads of the rivet nut an pulls upwards, in turn deforming the unthreaded section of the rivet nut to expand under the reverse side side of the material, providing a high strength permanent thread in a thin sheet material. Enabling reduced countersunk rivet nuts to be installed in post-painted or pre-coated applications without damaging the surface. The reduced countersunk head also known as thin sheet rivet nuts allows this type of rivet nut to be used in applications without any extra hole preparation, providing a low profile flush fit to the application. The knurled body of the reduced countersunk rivet nut provides increased resistance to turning in the application, especially when installed in softer materials. The open end style rivet nut allows the stud or male threaded component to thread through the rivet nut without limiting the length or protrusion of the male threaded part. These rivet nut fasteners are a form of internally threaded insert and are used in applications where the material (wall) thickness is too small to tap a conventional thread, therefore by using rivet nuts a strong thread is created in thin sheets of material for high strength fastening from bolts and other threaded articles. Reduced countersunk (thin sheet) rivet nuts with a knurled body and open end are also commonly know as Rivnuts, Blind Nuts, Thin Sheet Nuts and Nutserts. The total cost for the rehabilitation visits and consultations is $2,000. ![]() Let’s say after the surgery you need rehabilitation. Therefore, you’ll pay the $920 and the rest $1,880 ($2,800 – $920) will also be paid by your health plan. Now you will not have to pay the full $2,800 because your OOPM at this point dropped to $920. Next month you have surgery, which costs $15,000. First you pay $1,000 deductible, and your OOPM drops to $920 ( $1,920 – $1,000). The remaining balance to pay for the surgery is $14,000. You pay 20% coinsurance of $14,000, which is $2,800 and your insurance company pays 80% of $14,000, which is $11,200. You pay $20 copayment, and your OOPM drops to $1,920. Out-Of-Pocket Maximum in subsidized plans can be lowered by Cost-Sharing Reduction Subsidy.Įxample of how a typical health insurance plan works OOPM = Copayments + Deductible + Coinsurance However, it doesn’t include insurance premiums. OOPM includes copayments, deductible, coinsurance paid for covered services. When you reach it, your insurer will pay for all covered services. Out-Of-Pocket Maximum or Out-of-Pocket Limit is the most you will have to pay for covered medical services in your plan year. The cost-sharing stops when medical expenses reach your out-of-pocket maximum. For example, if your coinsurance is 20%, it means you pay 20% for covered health care services, and your insurer pays the remaining 80%. The coinsurance typically ranges between 20% to 60%. Coinsurance is health care costs sharing between you and your insurance company. If your plan has copayments, for example, for doctors visits or prescription drugs, it is possible you’d pay only the copayment without paying off your deductible first.Īfter you meet your deductible, you usually pay coinsurance. HMO plans tend to have more health care services covered by copayments than PPO plans.Ī deductible is an amount you pay for eligible medical expenses before your insurance plan starts to pay. They typically range between $5 – $50 for PCPs and $10 – $100 for specialists. Copayments for primary care providers (PCPs) are usually lower than for visiting specialist doctors. Premiums are usually paid in monthly or quarterly installments.Ī copayment or copay is a fixed dollar amount you pay for covered medical services or when visiting a doctor.
